Tourist Attractions
Major attractions for visitors include museums, temples, historical sites and scenery. Be sure to read about the background of the sights you visit to appreciate the differences in culture.
Travel Documents
To obtain a visa, you should apply to a local Chinese embassy or consulate. It will take several days to process the application. If you plan on traveling to Hong Kong before entering China, you may apply for your Chinese visa in Hong Kong.
Tour Packages
We recommend that you book your tours through a travel agent or at a hotel. They may be more expensive, but the quality should be guaranteed. If you know how to get around China on your own, you many not need to book a tour package.
Traveling Season
The best time to travel to China is in May or late October because the weather is nice and it is not the high season.
